Podiatrist at Clarity House Dunfermline

Paul Sharples Podiatrist
Podiatrist Paul Sharples is a member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is fully insured with the Society of Chiropodists and podiatrists (SOCAP).

During each appointment Paul can provide preventative care, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of problems affecting the feet, ankle and lower legs. Paul can focus on some of the traditional chiropody treatments such as reducing hard skin and corns, maintaining the nails or treating verrucas. In addition to treating and reducing these elements Paul will investigate why or if there is a biomechanical reason that you are getting the hard skin and corns and look for solutions (footwear, orthotics).

Paul can work with you to help prevent and reduce these elements from happening. In doing this Paul can provide preventative care and advice on improving mobility, independence and quality of life. From these assessments, Paul can prescribe you a variety of 'off the shelf' foot orthotics (shoe - insoles) and deflective foot and toe devices. We are delighted to welcome Paul, Podiatrist to the team at Clarity House Dunfermline.

Treat Your whole body holistically

Paul will involve your medical history and lifestyle, and include how your whole body performs in relation to the feet and lower limbs. This will enable Paul to gain a better insight into how the hard skin/corns are occurring. Your medial history is important for us to know as major health disorders such as diabetes and arthritis can cause problems to occur within your feet and lower limb (E.g. cuts and breaks in the skin and structural differences can cause discomfort and increased pain).
