With Coronavirus spreading at a rapid rate across the globe, the Team at Clarity House reflect on hygiene procedures to help prevent the spread of any infection.
In Clarity House, we are in constant close contact with a number of people every day. Thankfully we are known for our high standards when it comes to hygiene procedures but we want to reassure our customers that we have stepped up even more due to the circumstances.
In light of the outbreak of Coronavirus (Covid-19), we have reflected on our hygiene practices to ensure that our clients and team members are as protected as possible.
Please be reassured we follow the directions of the Hair and Beauty Industry Authority in the UK (HABIA) for cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation. All our team members are qualified and experienced and use good hygiene as basic practice.
Methods of sanitation include hand washing; cleaning surfaces; using a variety of wipes; anti-bacterial sprays and hand gels. We can assure you we do this as normal practice and will continue to do this.
When you visit Clarity House you will now be asked to wash your hands before your treatment.
We understand that hand washing with soap and hot water is by far the most effective method of sanitation and that is what should be used first and foremost. However when this is not possible, hand sanitiser gel can be used, although it is not a replacement for handwashing but to be used in between hand washing. We have placed hand sanitizer in our reception area for your use and the usual soap and hot water is available in the toilet.
Disinfection is a sufficient level of microorganism control when skin is not cut or broken. Disinfection is the process or act of destroying pathogenic microorganisms and removes most viruses, spores and fungi present on surfaces. Disinfectants work by destroying the cell wall of microorganisms or interfering with the absorption.
We use the high grade and approved disinfection solution Barbicide.
For the purpose of nail treatments, all disinfectable surfaces such as metal tools and implements and work surfaces are disinfected after thorough cleaning between treatments
We use single-use, disposable equipment like wooden spatulas and paper cotton buds and cotton disposable pads. This significantly reduces the risk of cross contamination.
As well as our equipment, high touch surfaces such as toilets, chairs, door handles, doorbells are cleaned and then disinfected on a regular basis throughout the day.
We have a great evening cleaner and have added two further cleaners to our cleaning team recently to make sure that Clarity House is deep cleaned every evening after we close.
There are some concerns around how Coronavirus can spread and because it’s a new illness, it is not known exactly how it spreads from person to person. However similar viruses are spread in cough droplets. We may use masks and protective gloves while we are treating you.
If you any have any symptoms and have been asked to self quarantine we would ask you not to come to Clarity House please reschedule after the 14 day quarantine period recommended by the NHS. If you have travelled to a highly infected area such as China or Italy recently, we would ask you Follow NHS guidelines.
We believe there is no such thing as being over cautious when it comes to ensuring the protection of our valued clients.
We look forward to caring for you at Clarity House when you next visit.
